Thanks to the efforts of tissue culture laboratories in New Zealand and Holland, as well as Hoffie Nurseries in the US, 150,000 plants will be available for lucky gardeners to grow in 2005.
This means that most people who ordered plants via mail order will receive their plants, and there will also be some to be found in nurseries and garden centres.
However, 150,000 plants is still a pretty thin spread on a worldwide basis, so it will remain quite a rare find in 2005. Stockists listed under "where to buy" on this site are worth a try.
Carsten Hoffmeyer at Hoffie Nursery in Illinois, USA, is the man responsible for nurturing many thousands of Echinacea 'Razzmatazz' through their early stages.
Looking further into the future, in 2006 there should be plenty of 'Razzmatazz' to go round. |
