'Back in Black's cousin sways from convention
01-09-2005 21:10 Piet is growing another black stemmed Agapanthus which deliberately droops!
By Miriam Young
Introducing Agapanthus 'Senna'.

Named in honour of the Formula One driver, who Piet is a big fan of, its black stems swerve about all over the place!

But this is a deliberate development, as it means the flowers put on a more flaboyant, natural looking display in a vase.

With such an unconventional habit this one is unlikely to ever be found in garden centres, but may become a nice addition to the florists pallet.
